"Visiting for a big Celebration"

80x80, oil on canvas

2024

At first glance at the canvas, the artist envelops the viewer with an aura of joyful optimism. Delicate colors shine in the drapery—blue-green tones, like those of young greenery breaking through in spring, and the high spring sky is veiled with the same shade. The expressive lines of the silhouettes of the jugs and the dynamic, rapid composition make it seem as if they are really rushing to a celebration. One can imagine the girls laughing, talking in ringing voices, adjusting their dresses and hair that has slipped out from under their kerchiefs as they walk. These graceful silhouettes convey a sense of lightness, sincere joy, and expectation of celebration. The dynamism of the composition is created by the tilt of the objects, echoed by the drapery, which seems fragmented into decorative folds, and it seems that the jugs are indeed rushing somewhere.

And now the viewer will involuntarily want to smile when looking at this image on the canvas, and it may even seem as if the distant sounds of festive celebrations can be heard.
